In support of low-income women seeking to make tailored transitions into the
workforce, throughout the year Hangers Cleaners serves as a collection point
for the Dress for Success Orlando program. We clean the donations at no charge
then drop them off to Dress for Success. Donations are limited to women’s
suits and accessories that are in like-new condition and on hangers.
Dress for Success is a worldwide organization that was established in
2001 to provide free interview appropriate clothing for low-income women.
It operates on a referral only basis with other non-profit and government
agencies in the Greater Orlando area.

corporate responsibility beyond care
for clients and the environment. Hangers’ ongoing involvement in the
community has impacted the lives of many children and low-income women. Through
the non-profit organizations A Gift for Teaching and Dress for Success, the
company extends a helping hand to the community.

A GIFT FOR TEACHING

Every year Hangers Cleaners sponsors a coat drive to
collect gently used coats and jackets for students in need during the cold
months of the year. Through the months of November to February, coats are
collected at all Hangers locations. They are cleaned and delivered to the
free store operated by A Gift for Teaching, where they are available to
be collected by teachers. In the past two years, more than 800 coats were
collected.
The mission of A Gift for Teaching is to ensure that children in Central
Florida have the basic tools for learning by transferring, at no cost,
the community’s surplus supplies and merchandise into the hands of
teachers and school children in need. A Gift for Teaching is a free store
for teachers serving 278 schools in Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties.
